Paul and Angus were recommended to me by the celebrant I was using. I had asked her who she would recommend based on who she enjoyed working with to ensure the experience was as unstressful as possible for all of us. I was so pleased to follow her advice. Paul and Angus were accommodating and seamless in their communication with me and my family. I actually really enjoyed working with them and felt welcome in the funeral home or on the phone; never rushed, able to ask as many questions as I wanted. The information was delivered in a way that I didn’t feel overwhelmed or unsupported in making decisions. My family all said how professional, respectful and approachable Paul was on the day. I felt I had made a really good decision to work with them to deliver a funeral just as my mother would have wanted.

The team at Godalming Funeral Service worked with the family to organise our mother’s cremation . From our first contact we felt completely confident that we were in safe hands . The whole process was explained clearly and we were presented with a wide range of options to help us choose what we wanted . The team are highly competent , friendly and they have such warmth . We valued their guidance but never felt pressured to make the cremation more lavish than we wanted . The pricing is clear and the good communication meant that this difficult time was made significantly easier . The day of the cremation went perfectly. Everything was calm and dignified , and a fitting tribute to our mother . We cannot thank Godalming Funeral service enough ..

I've known Paul since school and as I knew him to be an honest and caring person he was the natural choice to manage our funeral requirements.
Paul explained everything clearly and was transparent about costs. Our family member died in London and Paul managed the process of bringing him to Surrey for burial as well as liaising with the church and florist.

Paul and his team recently co-ordinated the funeral arrangements for my father Terry and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. I cannot recommend Paul, Chloe and the staff at Godalming Funeral Services highly enough. Whilst I write this as an attendee of a recent funeral of a loved one, the compassion and respect they have shown our very much blended family has been appreciated to all involved. From the first meeting (for myself and my son) to the actual day, the warmth shown by all was greatly appreciated. This industry requires a certain kind of person to carry family members through what is bound to be one of their most difficult journeys. Paul's empathy and ability to read the room is spot on. And Chloe is just the warmest person on the planet!
