On 13th December the team held an informal drop- in event for people to come and write tags for the memorial tree with messages for loved ones.
There were hot drinks, mince pies, biscuits, a Shetland pony, three donkeys, and some reindeer food for the children to take away.
Some comments from the community that day included: “This is such a special thing to do” “Thank you for letting me hang a tag in memory of my Mum as I wasn’t sure on how to honour her this Christmas.” “When I walked in to write a tag, the love and warmth I felt was so comforting”.
The two charities that we collected for on the day were The Godalming & Villages Community Store and The Meath Epilepsy Trust
